This article provides a full overview of the Dispute Manager process, including how to import a credit report, prepare disputes, select dispute letters, review letters, print disputes, and track dispute results.
Import the Customer’s Credit Report
To begin:
Go to Dispute Manager
Click the Import Credit Report tab
Click Import Button
Once the report is imported, the system will display:
Personal Information
Public Records
Negative Accounts
Inquiries
Positive Accounts
Select Items for Dispute
After importing the report, review and select the items you want to dispute.
Personal Information
You can dispute personal information using:
Quick Dispute Mode
Applies one dispute reason and instruction to the entire section.
Detailed Dispute Mode
Allows you to add separate reasons and instructions for each field.
Negative Accounts
For negative accounts, you can:
Select accounts for dispute
Choose dispute reasons
Or Add custom reasons
Choose dispute instructions
Or Add custom instructions
Add internal notes
Inquiries
For inquiries, you can also use:
Quick Dispute Mode
Detailed Dispute Mode
Make sure to select the inquiries you want to dispute.
Positive Accounts
Positive accounts can also be disputed if corrections or updates are needed.
You can:
Select dispute reasons
Or Add custom reasons
Select dispute instructions
Or Add custom instructions
Add internal notes
Save or Continue
Once finished preparing the dispute details, you can:
Click Save and Exit to continue later
Click Next to move to the Dispute Manager screen
Creating the Disputes
Step 1: Create the Dispute
In the Dispute Manager screen, start by selecting who you are disputing with:
Credit Bureaus
Creditors
Collectors
Freeze Letters
Each category contains its own dispute letters.
Step 2: Review Selected Items
This section contains two categories:
Marked for Dispute
Items selected during the credit report import process.
Not Marked for Dispute
Items imported from the report but not selected for dispute.
You can:
Move items between sections
Edit dispute reasons and instructions
Remove items from disputes
Delete items entirely
Note: You cannot continue to the next step if dispute reasons or instructions are missing.
For Creditor and Collector Disputes
When disputing creditors or collectors, you must also add an address.
To add an address:
Select the account
Click Add Address
Search for the creditor or collector
Select the address
Click Add Selected Address to the Letter
Once added, you can continue to the next step.
Step 3: Select Dispute Letters
Choose the letter category you want to use.
Available categories include:
Dispute Flow Letters
Manual Letters
General Letters
Campaign Letters
Respond Letters
Freeze Letters
After selecting a letter:
Review the template
Edit the content if needed
Rewrite the letter using AI
Send the letter to preview
Step 4: Review and Prepare for Printing
In the final review step, you can:
Review dispute letters
View disputed accounts per bureau
Edit dispute reasons and instructions
Edit letter templates
Upload images to letters
Once finalized:
Click Send to Bulk Print
Print or mail the dispute letters
Tracking Disputes
After printing, your disputes will appear under the Tracking tab.
The tracking section displays:
Date sent
Due dates
Tracking timeline
Dispute status
Viewing Results
Once dispute updates are received, results will appear under the Results tab.
This section displays:
Deletions
Updates
Dispute outcomes
Account changes
Additional Notes
Dispute reasons and instructions are required before proceeding
Different dispute categories have different letter templates
Creditor and collector disputes require an address before continuing
You can save your progress at any time during the dispute preparation process
