The Rebuild Progress Report feature allows you to correct and rebuild a client's Progress Report when an account was previously marked as deleted but is still appearing on the client's credit report.
For example, after checking for updates and results, the software may show that an account was deleted. If you later review the actual credit report and confirm that the account is still reporting, you can change the account's status and rebuild the Progress Report with the corrected results.
Important: The Rebuild Progress Report feature is only available after you have created the client's first Progress Report.
When to Use the Rebuild Progress Report Feature
You can use this feature when:
An account was marked as Deleted in the software.
You review the client's credit report and confirm the account is still reporting.
You need to correct the account's status.
You need to create an updated Progress Report that reflects the corrected results.
Step 1: Go to the Results Screen
From the main menu:
Go to Dispute Manager.
Locate the Results section.
Before rebuilding the Progress Report, you will first need to correct the status of the account that was incorrectly marked as deleted.
Step 2: Update the Account Status
From the Results screen:
Locate the account that was marked as deleted.
Click the Edit button for the account.
The account information will appear at the top of the screen.
Change the account from Deleted to the appropriate status, such as In Dispute.
Click Update to save the change.
After updating the account, it should no longer appear as a deletion in the results listed at the bottom of the screen.
Tip: Before changing the status, review the client's actual credit report to confirm that the account is still reporting.
Step 3: Rebuild the Progress Report
Once you have corrected the account status:
Stay on the Dispute Manager screen.
Under the Results section, click Actions.
Select Rebuild Progress Report.
The software will rebuild the client's Progress Report using the updated results.
The rebuilt report will only show the accounts currently listed as deletions after your corrections have been made.
Step 4: Review the Updated Progress Report
After rebuilding the report:
Click Progress Report from the Results section.
Open the updated Progress Report.
Review the report to make sure the results are correct.
Once everything looks correct, you can email the updated Progress Report to your client.
